How is the IP protection level divided?
The first theory: Look at GB1498-79, motor, low-voltage electrical enclosure protection level What is IP (protection level)? The IP (International Protection) protection level system was drafted by the IEC (International Electro Technical Commission). The luminaire is classified according to its characteristics of dustproof, foreign matter intrusion, waterproof, and moisture resistance. The foreign objects referred to here include tools, human fingers, etc., which are not accessible to the live parts of the lamp to avoid electric shock. The IP protection level consists of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of dust protection and the intrusion of foreign objects. The second number indicates the degree of airtightness of the lamp against moisture and water intrusion. The higher the number, the higher the degree of protection. The protection levels indicated by the two marked numbers are shown in Tables 1 and 2.
