The screw compressor consists of a pair of parallel and intermeshing male and female screws, which is the most widely used one in rotary compressors. There are two types of single screw and twin screw. Generally speaking, the screw compressor refers to a twin screw compressor.

The screw compressor can be either dry or wet. The so-called dry type means that the working chamber does not spray liquid, and the compressed gas is not polluted. The wet type means that lubricating oil or other liquid is injected into the working chamber to cool the compressed gas. Improve the seal, and lubricate the male and female rotors and bearings to achieve their own transmission, and then remove the oil or other liquid impurities in the compressed air through a high-precision filter to obtain higher quality compressed gas. Dry type is generally used in applications where gas quality is extremely high and gas volume is not required. Dry screw structure is complex, difficult to maintain, high in noise, high in cost; wet type is widely used, simple in structure, easy to maintain, stable and reliable, in aerodynamics Commonly used in engineering.
