How to choose the three filters of the air compressor?
1. Intake air filter
The air filter is a component that filters out dust such as dust in the air, and the filtered clean air is compressed into the compression chamber of the screw rotor. If the air filter is clogged or broken, a large amount of large particles enter the screw machine, which not only greatly shortens the service life of the lubricating oil filter and the oil separator, but also causes a large amount of particulate matter to directly enter the bearing cavity, accelerating the bearing wear and increasing the rotor clearance.
The compression efficiency is reduced, and even the rotor collides with each other due to the unreasonable gap, which shortens the service life of the rotor. The dust in the air sucked by the screw air compressor is blocked in the air filter. In order to prevent the screw compressor from being worn prematurely and the fine filter element in the oil separator is blocked, it is usually necessary to clean or replace the air filter after running 500H. Filter element; in dusty areas, the replacement time should be shortened. The filter must be shut down when it is replaced. To reduce downtime, it is recommended to replace it with a new or cleaned spare filter.
The air filter is recommended to be cleaned once a week and replaced every 1500 hours of operation. If the inhaled air is dirty, do this work in advance.
2, Oil filter
When the filter element is severely blocked, the pressure difference exceeds the load capacity of the bypass valve, and the bypass valve is automatically opened. A large amount of waste and particles will directly enter the air compressor main unit, which will directly affect the service life of the main machine and cause serious consequences.
It is recommended that the new machine be worn for 500 hours and replaced every 1500~2000 hours.
Note: Other tools cannot be used when spinning a new oil filter as it may cause damage to the oil filter or its seal!
3, Oil separator
The oil separator is a component that separates the screw oil from the compressed air. Under normal operation, the service life of the oil separator is about 3,000 hours. However, in the harsh environment, the maintenance and replacement cycle of the air filter must be shortened, and even the front mounting is considered. air filter.
If the oil filter element cannot be replaced according to the specified maintenance cycle, its separation capacity is weakened, the oil content of the outlet air is increased, the fuel consumption is increased, and the power consumption is also increased.
Note: Before installation, the rubber and asbestos pads must be inspected for antistatic properties. When installing, it is necessary to prevent impurities from falling into the oil drum. When installing the return line, it must be ensured that the tube is inserted into the bottom of the filter element.
