Hazard analysis of insufficient air compressor oil

The air compressor uses lubricating oil. In addition to the strict quality requirements of the oil itself, the amount of lubricating oil must be controlled. The amount of lubricating oil for the air compressor must not be too much or too small. Whether the amount of lubricating oil is suitable can be observed through the oil level mirror on the oil and gas barrel.

Insufficient lubricant quantity, also known as "oil shortage", is one of the easily identifiable faults of air compressors. When the air compressor discharges compressed air, it also entrains a small part of the lubricating oil. This phenomenon is unavoidable, but the speed will be different. The discharged lubricating oil will not return, and over time, a lack of oil will form.

1) If the lubricant is not added in time, it will easily lead to the lack of lubrication of the air compressor, which will cause the adapter to directly contact and cause failures such as bearing damage.

2) If the amount of lubricating oil in the screw air compressor is insufficient, the most common is the lack of oil and necrosis of the bearing.

3) For screw air compressors that are not used for a long time, the amount of lubricant in the compressor head is often insufficient. If you start it rashly, it will easily cause a momentary lack of oil in the nose, causing the host to freeze. Therefore, for long-term shutdown screw air compressors, a sufficient amount of lubricant must be added to the machine head before starting.

4) If the air compressor has insufficient oil quantity and oil shortage, it will affect the operation of the air compressor under high temperature for a long time.

5) In addition, the lack of oil in the compressor may cause noise, vibration or excessive current of the compressor.
