Exhaust volume of screw air compressor

The volume of air discharged by the air compressor per unit time is converted to the air volume in the inhaled state.

Factors affecting the actual displacement of screw air compressor

1. Equipment speed:

The displacement of the screw air compressor is proportional to the speed, and the speed often varies with the voltage and frequency of the grid. When the voltage is reduced or the frequency is lowered, the speed will decrease, causing the screw air compressor to reduce the exhaust volume.

2. Inhalation status:

The screw air compressor is a positive displacement compressor with the same suction volume. When the suction temperature is increased, or the suction line resistance is too large to reduce the suction pressure, the density of the gas is reduced, and accordingly, the displacement of the screw air compressor is reduced;

3. Gas leakage:

The rotors are not in contact with each other and between the rotor and the casing, and there is a certain gap, so gas leakage occurs. When the gas after the pressure rises leaks through the gap to the suction duct and the inhaled rod, the amount of exhaust gas is reduced. In order to reduce the leakage amount, the tooth tip of the driven rotor is provided with a sealing tooth, the tooth root of the active rotor is provided with a sealing groove, and the end surface is also processed with an annular or strip-shaped sealing tooth. If these seal lines are worn, the amount of leakage will increase, so these factors should be taken into consideration during normal maintenance;

4. Cooling effect:

The temperature of the gas increases during the compression process, and the temperature of the rotor and the casing also rises accordingly. Therefore, during the suction process, the gas is heated by the heating of the rotor and the casing, thereby correspondingly reducing the amount of suction. Some of the rotors of screw air compressors use oil cooling, and the casing is cooled with water. One of the purposes is to reduce the temperature. When the cooling effect is not good, the temperature rises and the screw air compressor discharge decreases.
